Default Opinions on Roush stripes

I have an 05 Sonic Blue Roush Stage 1 with supercharger and performance suspension added by original dealership to make car comparable to Stage 3. Also aftermarket to the Roush package is the hood, grille, stereo, boost gauge cluster, and headlight splitter.

My question: The white stripe on the bumper has started to peel a bit and am debating between having just that part redone and keep the look the same or redo the entire stripe and go for some thicker stripes (comparable to those on Shelby's as a reference) and maybe go silver?

The main reason I ask is that even though I love the car, don't get a chance to drive it much and may consider selling it this year or next. Do I do the stripe that I think looks better or try not to stray too far from the standard look of a Roush to keep it more authentic?

Here are a couple pics...again not sure I like how thin the stripes are and also that they don't extend all the way down the back bumper.

If you are planning on selling in a year, I would say just replace the part of the stripe that is peeling off. If you were planning on keeping, go for the wider stripes. =-)

Agreed. Why dump 2-300 into a car that you are about to sell if it won't really add any value when it comes time to sell it?
If you're going to keep the car and the stripes are drving you nuts, then 2-300 is well worth your piece of mind if it makes the car exactly what you want.

You have a Roush with upgrades. The only way you will ever sell it and get your money for it would be private party. That being said, I see 2 options for you.

1. Fix the stripe cause a private party will pass on your car for a different Roush or GT500 or whatever else if it looks nicer. I was massively **** about looking over my car before I bought it. I saw a paint chip in the chin spoiler. They ordered a new one and had it painted.. for example.

2. Take the car back to regular old GT form and trade it in and sell all your parts on Ebay. I don't know if you got the M90 or the TVS2300 but the M90 would net you at least $2500 and I would think at least $3000 for the TVS...

I agree and need to decide shortly if I want to sell or keep it. But I'm curious if I decided to sell do you think it's more pointless to change the stripes just because I wouldn't get the extra 300 dollars when selling or do think that it being a Roush that changing the stripes would actually hurt the resale compared to keeping it more stock?

You already have a different hood and grille. If you're worried about that, then you better go find you an OEM grille and a roush hood.
