Default 2010 and 2011 headrests.

My 2011 Mustang is my wife's daily driver. 2 things she has issues with are it's too quiet (3.7 V6) and the headrests. Last Saturday we left home at 7:00 AM to go on a cruise (she was up at 5 to get ready). She commented on the headrests again as she was trying to take a nap. I resinged myself to buyint the $250 plus aftermarked vinal adjustible headrests. After doing a search on this forum, I found that I could just remove them, put them in my press and take care of the problem. Pictures below (I didn't take a before, but you know what they look like).

In the press

Rear one bent, front one ready for the press

She really likes the difference.

the headrests were very annoying at first, i adjusted mine to the highest position and now it seems OK. What i did in the beginning is take the headrest off and put it on backwards. Probably not the safest alternative for whiplash though, and it looked kind of retarded. Your method seems better.
