Woa!
My G/F and I were at a Mini Dealer and they tell me the
wait is 11 months if we put down the deposit that day.

So we did.

But what is up with car companies not liking money?

Go to Quakertown Pa and get a 2006 Ford Stang Gt at INVOICE,,,,but call the salesmanager John up on the phone and see if he will sell the car to you...I bought 1 or the 2 GTs he has at INVOICE....Its about 2 hours from NYC.....Faulkner Ford....
Satin Silver
Automatic
Shacker1000
Red seats and upgrade interior....
Msrp $30,125
Invoice $27.870

I would call them because you will see higher pricing after the winter,as i can see ford are not making many more Gts then last year as i can see ....JohnnyT

I don't know what would take the dealer so long just to get a build date... I'd talk to one of the desk managers and see if the saleman had ever even given in the order to get placed...

If you ordered it in AUG I would think depends on your dealer maybe early 2006 if not later..There are lots of people waiting for their GTs from early June.So get a Dora with your order# and checkout the fords 800# and see where you are at.(I would never order a car again because most dealers will screw yea)Try and Buy one off a Ford Dealers lot,do a little looking on the fords website.JohnnyT

The northern part of the country gets shafted in this respect. My car was ordered (michigan) on 6/29 and I am still c/u. The allocation system sucks but that's why it is how it is.

Ordered mine in NJ back in May, to this date still havent gotten a build date. Was so fed up with the wait that I bought an 06 GT in Tennesse 2 weeks ago and cancelled my order yesterday. Although I would have loved to have kept it in just how long Ford would have screwed a sold order in the North and keplt pushing through month old orders in the south. I'm betting I would have gotten the car sometime around Thanksgiving.

Dealer in Daytona beach, salesmen on another forum has been getting GT's at sticker for members left and right, and has you a VIN# in a week. You can pick up car there, or have it drop shipped to local dealer for I think like 600 bucks. Send a PM if you want info to this other stang forum. Everyone has been extremly happy with him, and has not had one compaint from many of the members that purchased thru him.
I have nothing to do with him or anything. Just passing along good info.

Mini's take so long because they're ALL custom built to order and all come from England. My mom ordered one in 03 and the wait was long, but that's what happens when you order an imported car like that.

Anyways, sorry to hear about you not getting your order put in... hope the dealer works something with you.
