Default Raxiom Switchbacks: resistor question!

I recently just received my switchbacks from AM and when I went to install them I temporarily just switched the stock bulbs with the LED's just to see if they worked and the polarity, while trying them out I found that they come on just fine with the parking lights (bright white) and flash between white and amber like they are supposed to when I turn on the turn signal without delay or going too fast. My question is if they work just fine without the resistors, then do I really need them? because mounting the resistors is a little bit of a pain in the a$$ to do, and I'd also have to re-sauter the connections because of the problem described below:

*As a side note look out for the wiring on the little resistors, the sauter and wire connections from Raxiom are very flimsy and with very little tension the wires on both resistors easily slipped off and out of the heat shrink. The quality of the bulbs is very good, but the quality in which the wires are attached to the resistors is very poor so you will have to re-sauter them yourself to make sure there is a tight/snug/secure connection.*

Well good luck, I'd love to see the results. Unfortunately I can't answer your question, though.

I'd just do it up right the first time. Without them you may find they don't work all the time as it's not sensing the correct load. Re-solder them, and be done so you don't have to redo it later.

Yeah this is looking like what I will have to do, just a pain for a little led swap haha

I didn't use resistors the first time I installed my switchbacks. A few miles later down the road, the turn signals started hyper flashing. I ended up installing resistors and it fixed the problem.

gotta make sure the connectors are squeezed together really tight; i used tongue and grip pliers to do so. it was hyperflashing at first for me; but once i tightened all my connectors it was fine. hope this helps
