Default First GoPro Drive with the Stang - boring but neat

Hey all,

Finally hooked up the GoPro and took the Mustang out for a drive. Was a relatively boring drive, and the camera picked up a LOT of wind noise, so I'm going to try some different mounting locations, and see if I can get a case with an external mic to put back by the exhaust.

This angle, while cool, didn't really show the squirley moments like I had hoped. It's long, kinda boring, but still a Mustang video, so I thought I'd share . Hopefully better videos to follow over the summer. Cheers.

Thats a pretty cool video!!! I feel like it would be a good camera angle for autocross or some kinda road course

I've heard of a couple techniques to quiet the wind noise, but haven't tried them yet.

1. electrical tape over the vents on the rear of the case
2. fuzzy "troll" wig on the back of the case(like this)

Thanks for the tips. I have the waterproof case as well, but the vented case is supposed to help reduce wind noise over the waterproof. Troll wig seems interesting. I'll have to start buying dolls and rip their heads off I suppose .

I just got a GoPro not too long ago. Second one yesterday so I can film with people or at different angles at once. They are awesome cameras. You'll soon find how fun it is to make videos, but hard for that matter to make them interesting to watch. You almost have to be a drifter, race, or do a burnout for a way cool video. Otherwise they can be a tad bit... dull haha. All depends on what you film though!

A good location for sound is the back bumper, it's better protected from wind noise too.

Great videos. I mounted mine behind and just to the left of the rear view mirror. Even boring videos sometimes have a touch of excitment. Check out this 12 second video of my drive in the Colorado Mountains.
