Default Repeating Squeak...help!

So starting yesterday I started hearing a repeating squeaking sound from the right rear of my car..
it seems to squeak every time the wheel rotates.

BUT it only squeaks when the car is slightly warmed up..and does NOT squeak when the break is applied.
Only with throttle or coasting.

I took the wheel off, checked for signs of loose or damaged whatever, didn't see anything.
Didn't see any signs of rubbing.

Again, this just started yesterday, and I didn't hit any big potholes..
and it doesn't happen when I apply the brakes.

what could it be??

I had something similar to this last summer, with the whole squeaks/creaks when accelerating or even near coasting (extremely light accel). Never when I was braking though (similar to your situation), anyway I tracked it down to the lower control arm bushings not being properly coated/greased from the factory. So I went out and got a can of heavy duty silicon and went to town on the LCAs and even those white sway bar links(?, bushings?) on the back of the car. Never got another groan/creak/squeak again.

Hope this helps man. But if the problem is variable based on your car's engine temps, then this might not be the answer. Mine did it regardless of how long the car had been running.

I've had squeaking in my rear right before..

Once, it was the sway bar bushing, the other time was the rear spacer.

Did you check the brake rotor?

I might grab some grease or whatever and try that then..but I have no idea what any of that crap is, hah. I don't know alot about brakes/suspension stuff.

I don't even know what to look for on the rotor..

If it's with the brakes, chances are you have a little pebble or something stuck between the pads and rotor and it's causing noises.

But I would imagine (just a hunch) that if it was brake related you would get some steering wheel wobble/grinding when braking.

I'm still betting it's your LCA bushings or the sway bars, sounds similar to the problem I had...

Had this problem as well, in fact. I made a thread about it a while ago AND posted pictures of my problem. Go put some WD40 on your right side LCA bushing and see if that helps. If it doesn't go away, it could be that your LCA is bent. I figured out that I never heard it when I was accelerating cause the weight transfer was hinging the LCA bushing so it didn't squeak. But when I was just coasting, it would squeak because it wasn't properly lubricated...I ended up getting a new bushing and it went away.

Yep, It's probably the LCA bushings. I lube mine frequently.

Agreed. It was just a temp fix
