Default X or H

Just wanted to do a quick poll here. Thinking about switching from an o/r H pipe to an o/r x pipe. But I want to know the difference and your opinions. X pipe or H pipe?

Omg a question I know alot about so excited haha! Ok first things first. What kind of mufflers are you gonna run? And 2 a x pipe will make give your car a slight rasp depending on the mufflers..example. If you were gonma run say flowmasters or borla or magnapack go with the o/r x sounds awsome ..to me this is how I feel about it. When your car is cold and you have a off road h pipe with say flowmaster ya know how it sounds different than after it warms up?

Thats how the x pipe would sound all the time. I've done every exhaust combo possible I think lol tons of money later hahah. Now if you were gonna run say slp loudmouth 1s go with a "catted h pipe" not off road becuae 2 reasons 1. Very loud and kinda annoying and going 70 down the road it's very annoying. And 2. Back pressure.ypu will loose low end power with those mufflers..but to fix this take your h pipe and weld high flow cats and it sounds very good!

But ultimately it depends on you..but if you have flowmaster or borla or magnapack more mufflers sound Better with a x just my 2 cents. I have o/r x with super 44s and it's very nice . Had a h pipe back in the day and x sounds way better..

But yes what mufflers are you going to run?

And there is also YouTube . And make sure you have headphones or good speakers to hear it better and feel the sound. Trust me
Glad to help

I'm running FM40s, which is basically the 44. Both are dual chamber, idk the difference. Do you have a video of your setup?

Is this a good mid pipe?

My 40's Drone like hell, I got a 6er but its worth thinking about if you dont already have them. If you want loud and raspy I say the X if you want a more mellow and lower tone the H is proably what you want

Ok first of all if you are running a s197 gt things are a little different now but still good that x pipe is good I've had that and no problems buttttt! If you want to save money go on eBay and type in UPR x pipe and they will have a off road x pipe for your car for 174.99 free shipping which is cheaper and I love my upr x pipe! Would go any other way

Now 2. I would not get flowmasters of chambered for a s197 gt IMO I think they sound better with circular design mufflers. Example. The best exhaust I've heard on a s197 gt was my own and I had o/r x upr and magnapack axle backs for the 05-09 gts sounded mean as hell! I don't have a vid but I have YouTube

http://youtube.com/watch?v=9_51BaVEYlQ

And roush axle backs are mean to! Or slp lm2s mid mounted with x pipe. I would do that my friend

Here's my car with o/r x pipe, roush axlebacks, and long tubes as well. Doesn't sound raspy to me!
