embarrassing question
im not a fan of doing huge burn out with my falken 20'' rubber 285-30-20 on the rear, since it my first real powerful manuel car, id like to know how-to each tricks, im aware of a couple of nice trick so far, but there is one that im kind of brainless about, how do you actually do a line burn, like burning in place then pulling away still burning and grabbing some speed...do you just burn it in 1rd gear, click the 2nd make it spin a bit then slowly depress brake but not too much?, burn it in 2rd gear then just dump the clutch and play with the gas at high rev spin? the tricky part is the brake use that im not sure..
also, if anyone want to chime in for this side question:
best way not to lets the engine die if you want to spin 1-2 and maybe even 3, i figure with 450-470 rwhp i can do so, even with 20''...what the best read i need to get from my rpm? do i launch high rpm in 1rd and click it when i get close to the red line with a light quick push on the clutch then clicking 2nd gear doing same...until 3? i can do 1 and 2, but usually it died on the 3rd....like in this video:
that was my uncle showing me on the first week i bought the car, i dont know if he missed 3rd gear or got delayed too much but other day in rain i spinned 1-2 and it did the same when i tryed to click in the 3, engine reved back in low rpm, not my favorite habbit but you know, you just wanne tell yourself that you know how to use every agressive aspect of ''your'' mustang
thanks guys, getting lotta help lately, fun to learn from others.

I hate when it bogs down like that.. or worse, when the clutch doesnt catch and it burns.
Ive had mine burn twice, once i tried to launch starting in 2nd gear at 4500+ rpm in my 2003 GT , burnt the clutch really bad for a sec.
another time i redlined 1st at like 10 mph spinning the tires then went to 4th on accident and let the clutch out full throttle, it didnt catch and it burned again.
I dont do burnouts using any brakes, i dont like the brake style burnout i like the powerskid style , which is what you did there but you tried to get it into 3rd but the engine bogged. You were probably moving a bit too fast and took a bit too long on the shift (or let off the gas too much) to keep the tires spinning while hitting 3rd. Your car sounded good there though, and 1-2 wasnt bad
starting at .50 here is nice :
Although, in the right circumstance , and done right, the brake style burnout can be kind of awesome :

A line lock locks down the brake line to the front wheels while the backs are free to spin. You will likely burn through tires just having this on your car like some sort of temptation tax or a fun tax or something like that.
