Getting ready to bite the bullett and install the Saleen SC on my 05 and trying to find the best deal. Anybody found good prices? Any words of wisdom? Just looking MORE POWER.

 

Are you going to upgrade the fuel injectors, the MAF, air intake, and swap the pully?

 

Not sure yet. Going to do what ever it takes to make it hump. How did your experience work out?

 

It's a completely different ride. How much HP are looking at getting? Is it going to be a daily driver or a track car?

 

i wanna see your engine bay with your saleen sc setup GJP05...post some pics if you wouldn't mind. im sure a lot of people would love drooling onto their keyboards

Did you have to do anything to the C&L CAI to install the larger MAF? Is that what that black piece at the end of the aluminum tube accommodates? I was told the C&L CAI wouldn't work because of it. I have the C&L CAI and I'm seriously considering the Saleen SC.

The black piece at the end is the MAF itself the rubber is to make sure I have a good seal but you will have to buy an adapter which is the silver piece after the MAF and before the filter. Now the pipe itself will cause a problem with the stock hood. You will have to notch the hood slightly to get it to close fully and I still have to cut the box that goes around the filter so that it will fit.

 

This car will rarely get driven. I was wondering if the HP that Saleen advertises with their SC is crank or wheel horsepower? Do you have to add anything to get the 400 HP they claim? Does the kit include the remote intercooler or is that optional for just a "few" more dollars?
