2006 GT problems
I've tried searching the forum and can't find what i'm looking for.
My 06 GT tends to idle around 500, and sometimes it'll rev up to 1500 or even 2200 when stopped. The problem is, it'll jump so hard the car moves when the brake is pressed, and other times it stalls out. I also have about a inch of dead pedal in my gas, and have a hard time doing city speed limits because of the dead zone. when I hold the gas in, it'll fly up to 1500rpm and I can't seem to keep it under that.
I've tried cleaning my MAF, checked all my vaccuum lines, and replaced my fuel filter. Could it be the ECM? I've checked, but it shows zero codes.
Anyone know?

Definitely clean the TB first. Many an idle/stall issue has been due to a dirty TB. As far as the dead spot on the accelerator, there's a calibration procedure that may help some. A good custom tune will also help resolve throttle lag if that's what you're also experiencing.
That's a better term. It seems laggy, like I push, then it jumps.
I haven't cleaned the TB yet, and I'm not sure how to, but I'm positive it's something I can find on the forum. Thanks guys, I'll be sure to try cleaning to TB tomorrow.

TB recalibration:
1- Reflash the ECU by disconnecting the battery's negative cable for 30 minutes.
2- Reconnect the battery cable.
3- Turn the key to the 'ON' position so all of the dashboard lights illuminate, and the chime starts(Do not start the engine).
4- Wait for the chime to stop.
5- Turn off all electrical accessories.
6- Press the gas pedal all the way down in one smooth motion while counting to 5 (1001, 1002....).
7- Slowly release the gas pedal while counting to 5.
8- Wait 6 seconds.
9- Turn key to 'OFF'.
10- Wait 6 seconds.
11- Repeat steps 3-10 twice more.
The idle may be erratic whenever the battery is disconnected, because the ECU has to re-learn the idle strategy. 20-50 miles of driving normally returns the idle back to normal.
There's also a procedure in the battery maintenance section of the owner's manual that facilitates the idle re-learning process.
