Default tint on tail light

ive been cops magneted this week end, geez, friday got arrested, they said my rear tail light werent legal, nothing can be put on tail light, im like ok np ill remove them..then sunday im rolling to the car fever event at napierville, i get arrested again by highway cops, ****** chewing a gum with attitude is like: well well, seems like it is your arresting week end, you had to remove your tail light sir and you didnt! im like: man gimme a break, it a tint, gotta go see my window tinter to remove them on monday, he aint open in the week end...
hes like: well it is the last time we warn your sir, then he just leave with attitude and a smile.. but seriously, EVERYONE in my town got black tail light painted or tinted, i got such a low shy dark on them, like 35% from a window tint, it barely black at all, ****ing *******, now how come they will tolerate brand new 2013 blacked out tail light, but not ours?

It must be a canadian thing or something.

Similar to how they say "rug" instead of "carpet," etc.

I would hope he didn't get arrested for tail light tint 2 days in a row lololo

Difficult to understand, but I'll try to answer best I can... The OEM 13+ taillights are probably DOT tested and approved with clearly visible reflectors at a distance. Very different from getting your lights tinted by some shop.

no offense, but youre still learning all the tricks in the book, right? State officers will get Sports car drivers like us any day of the week for almost any excuse. Had my car a week and the ops are already on my tail!! I think he'll be able to get out of it though, hes got his reasons.

This is for Florida. I don't know what Canada laws are but:

316.220 Headlamps on motor vehicles.--

(1) Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with at least two headlamps with at least one on each side of the front of the motor vehicle, which headlamps shall comply with the requirements and limitations set forth in this chapter, and shall show a white light. An object, material, or covering that alters the headlamp's light color may not be placed, displayed, installed, affixed, or applied over a headlamp.

Can't find tail lights but I know they are red illumination with 1000 feet visibility.

Most tint will cause it to be less than 1000 ft but 99% a warning is given unless you did something else to provoke an arrest. Was it an actual arrest or a citation?
