06 Order
I ordered a 06 GT in early September with the late availability wheels (64W). I also noticed that my priority is listed as 40 on the order receipt. I was hoping to have it by May, 06. Any thoughts about the priority number/wheels? Thanks.

1) go over to blueovalforums.com
2) for general order/priority/allocation/commodity info, click on the 'to ford management' link- theres a sticky up top called 'sold order priority- is it right?" I pasted a bunch of stuff in there along with a LOT of bitching about the way it all works right now...do yourself a favor and read it over- It WILL be pissing you off soon, unless you happen to order from one of the top ten volume dealers in the country...
about your priority 40- I basically begged/insisted my dealer had put mine from 40 to 10(which he did) but as there was nothing before it(lower number) it would get first shot anyways. If you arent afraid of getting the car before may, try to get a 10 on it... if you do get priority 10, dealer CANNOT schedule ahead of you without changing yours first(and hopefully letting you know)...so if nothing lower than 40 at your dealer, youre next- otherwise, youre not. pester them a bit for a 10...even 11-12 allows them the ability to put someone ahead of you- dont accept over 10 unless someone already has it, then insist on next in line...at least then you are only commodity restricted after first guy gets looked at...your wheels might be the big problem.
3) for info on YOUR PARTICULAR CAR, go back to top, then down to 'ford employees'- sticky atop thread is '2006 orders' and tells you exactly how to get same info the dealer cam, and AWESOME info from a guy named KZINTI, that ought to be employee of the year at ford for all the help he's been.
PS: the 'normal' wait is 2-8 months from what ive seen - with 64w you might be adding months to that, as no wheels have been recieved yet, no idea when they might...hard to say...by april they should be available, but who knows how many are already awaiting these?

Its a bad idea to order a GT now......
You might not see the car and you might have to reorder it as a 2007 in june or if you are lucky you might get it during the summer of 2006.
Buy one off the Lot and you can change the wheels whenever you want too.

Scan the lots, check on-line, your order may never come and re-ordering is a good possiblity.
Chances are you'll either have it sooner or for around the time you order was originally due to come in.

for April build then they ought to be caught up...those are sharp looking

i ordered a 06 in july still have not gat a build date, pulled back my deposit, i found what i want in Mass. im in NY, i cant wait till next year, i looked online at about 100 dealers in the northeast , going sunday to go look and buy, luckily its only 2 1/2 hour drive, keep searching, u might get lucky.

Go to TheMustangSource.com, at the bottom of the page click on timeline. Select 05 + for the model year, then click on 06. Scroll down the page and you'll see the picture of the two option 18" wheels for 06.
