Long drive to Fl. for that service....

Many may live in areas where maintenance is not allowed.

How will you lift the cars.....

Homeowners liability while you work on their property.

Had a guy doing some tranny work on a truck with it at my house.....a real headache.....he thought I was there to be his helper. Never again will anyone work on my cars at my house unless it is a bunch of friends getting together.

As far as your question, I would not.

Would you be licensed and insured?

As far as liabilities, I WOULD NOT FOR SURE. What if, only a what if.... you lose a arm and it's going to be 25K in the ER. Who's paying? Said but true, it's 2012 and lawsuits are everywhere.

What if someone's car acts up and they get in a wreck (your fault)....Someone will be knocking on your door.

ObamaCare = my god, prime example of what it's turned to now days.

In that case, something you could do that I could not, yes I would.

What do you do in the winter time? I think it is a good idea for the most part. I do not think you would get a lot of business doing mods as much as doing small repairs.

I think that, if marketed right, it could work well. Not so much on the performance thing but, the idea is right. Think about it.. how many people go outside to start their car and their battery or alternator is shot? Any shop can fix it BUT.. they have to tow the car there (yes, most people can't even change a battery). If you are there to come to them though, well, it's convenient and its the same price.
That could be done for any minor fix like that. Or roadside repair. People get flats, overheat and God only knows what else all the time. I see at least 5 cars on the side of 675 and 75 on my way to and from work each day it seems like.

Could work as far as the basic mods. I wouldnt be trying to do a header install in someone's drive. But simple things l think u could get done. It would come down to convience of your services, time management, excellent work that u should be providing. How would u handle a unhappy customer. If u go about it like brenspeed or American muscle then I think u will be fine
