Default MP3 capabilities

Some of you mentioned on this site that if you have the Shaker 500-1000 system all you have to do in burn a CD of unconverted MP3 files (200 songs) insert it into the system and it will play? I know it probably says that somewhere in the manual, just havent had time to read through the whole thing yet.

I literallycopy/burn the MP3's on my computer to a data CD.... Pop it into my Shaker 500 and they play wonderfully.

I use Roxio CD Creater to do the burn.

Yep - very cool You can even organize the files on the disc into different folders so you can classify them by genres if you want, and the Skipper.... er I mean Shaker lets you move from folder to folder. I was thinking of getting a shory antenna - but now I just may remove it all together and have it filled in. With nearly 1000 songs loaded in there I should NEVER get bored.

Thanks Guys!

Hey sowaxeman,

I was thinking of a shorty antenna too, any recommendations?

Is it something you can do yourself relatively cheap? Thanks - Mike

In regards to the antenna. All you have to do is remove it and with some padded pliers (so you wont mar it) and cut the ant. off with a hacksaw to your desired length. Then file down the end a little so it will go back into the brass ball. If you get a loose fit apply just a dab of JB Weld. Takes about 15 minutes. The ball is painted brass so handle it gently. It will just twist off as it is a press fit. Saved yourself some bucks.

What he said - that exactly what I was planning to do.
