Default Trans Whine Normal? Video Inside

Alright, so long story short, it's been hot and I've had the windows up and have noticed the whine more. I always thought it was normal but someone pointed it out to me recently and, well yeah, newly purchased gopro and ocd tendencies I guess haha.

I've always had it, definitely loudest in 2nd, but also audible in 1st and 3rd pretty well, and barely in 4th and 5th. Normal? I appreciate any responses...

Sounds like normal stuff to me bro, I wouldn't worry.
However if you must fix it...simple.

1.turn up the jam!
2.louder exhaust.
3.press gas harder...take your pick, or like me use a combination

It's amazing how the cabin of these cars resonate every little sound...thinking of putting in some fatmat myself.

Thanks Sharony!

Thanks Mayo, luckily I'm working on that exhaust part Your car's looking great!

I just want to make sure this is normal, seeing this is the last summer I'll be in warranty, and I'd want it done before the longtubes possibility.

I have a 09 Mustang and it has only a very, very faint whine and my 07 was about the same. You can just barely, barely hear it. Both were bought new. Was yours that loud when it was new, if not I’d have your dealer take a look at it.

Mine's very faint with the windows down, as in you have to listen for it and know what you're listening for. With the windows up I can definitely hear it no problem. I bought it with 36k on the odometer, and the 2nd and 3rd gear synchros were actually replaced at ~38k. I think it's been there since I've had it, I've just never really thought much of it.

The more I think about it the more I think it's completely normal. I've definitely had it since I bought the car, too. It's already been apart, I'm sure the trans shop would've said something if anything was screwed beyond belief.

I used a GoPro 960. I love it! I just bought it for $125 as where I work had them on sale and I used my discount to drop the price even lower. The raw video also looks a lot better cuz youtube kinda sucks the quality out of it, so don't be mislead.

I just tested out my suction cup mount too, it's great!
