code P0126?
I can't find any other mustang owners that have gotten this code. Searching with google I keep finding posts where people list all the codes!
Stop listing all the codes people!!!! It makes searching a bitch.
The code means coolant temp insufficient for stable operation. Does that mean my thermostat is stuck open?

It seems to be the T-stat stuck open that causes this code. Now should I order a 160* like the one that came with the whipple kit or just drop a 180 in there. I doubt any local place will have a 160* Tstat.
I do need more sleep, but that **** is annoying!

The standard 180* thermostat could probably be picked up locally for not too much... If this is a DD, I would get that to clear the code now, and then order the 160 because, like you said, it probably won't be on any auto parts store's shelves. If this is not a DD, then I'd get the one the Whipple came with.

Check the coolant temp sensor on the intake. I had to replace one last week in my 4.0 Explorer with the same code. It wasn't the t/stat. The one in the Expl was a clip held sensor, not the normal threaded type. It was only $16 retail, and upped the mpg from 15 to back to over 21. Cured the problem with in less than 3 minutes and I didn't have to fight refilling the cooling system. Good luck.

There's no coolant temp sensor on the mustang, only a head temp sensor.
It turns out I either read the code wrong or my aeroforce gauge was reporting it wrong. I scanned it with the sct and the codes were p0161 and p2272, both related to me unplugging the rear 02 sensor and replacing it with a wideband o2.
I still might get a 180. Everything I read suggests more engine wear with a 160. My coolant temps usually run at 172-176 on a cool morning, so we are only talking a few degrees higher with a 180.
