Default Engine Compartment overhaul

Lately I have been on the warpath trying to make my engine compartment look better. I have put on a plenum cover, TB cover and purchased Ford Racing cam covers which I will mount when I have the time. Today I had some scrap 3M Anthracite carbon fiber wrap material left over from the shop I work at so I decided to wrap the JLT CAI tube. It was black and kinda scratched up. Thoughts? Likes, dislikes?

After plenum and TB cover, before wrap:

Very nice. I hope it doesn't peel under the heat of the engine.

No, it is adhesive backed. It has pressure sensitive adhesive so that when you press on it with a squeegee it activates.

It shouldn't but we will see. If is does it's no big deal. It doesn't leave behind any residue if you take it off.

I have a torch red 05 and I am going thru the same thing. Recently put on the Motorsport chrome valve covers bbk chrome headers and chrome caps on everything. I wax-polish under the hood and just got tired of the boring engine compartment. I also have a plenum cover. Man what a difference but the down side is all the extra polishing under the hood but thats ok because now the underhood shine is as good as the outside shine. Looks good with the cai intake also. Cars are never finished,,always a work in progress.

It'll probably leave residue if it's melted off.

It is wrap material. It is made to be heated & stretched during installation. It won't peel due to what little underhood heat it is exposed to. It isn't like it is stuck on a header. It's called Cold Air Induction for a reason.
