Default Help me decide

So after drooling over the 5.0's for a few years now, I just have to make the jump. I'm having trouble deciding on when and what to buy so maybe some MF input will help.

I definitely want 3.73s and Brembos but other than that I'm on the fence about a couple options like recaro seats and the electronics package with touchscreen.

Other considerations: Is Ford likely to make any significant change next year? I know the new body is slated for 2015 but anything rumored to be worth waiting for?

Is the sound system in the BOSS decent?

Waiting is a shot in the dark. Go look and drive your options. The opinions will run from one end to another on any web site. To me, the Boss and the GT are for different purposes unless you are going for just status.

^^^ Good advice^^^

There is ALWAYS next year. You end up passing over a great car by waiting. Just go for it!!!!!!! If something that great comes out you can always trade in for a little hit.

I like the BOSS myself. I drive like im on a track any way.

I can't help on which to go with specifically but what I can say, is don't settle for anything less than what you want. If you don't get what you want then you will be kicking yourself later for going with something else. Even if you get it and find you didn't want something, at least you tried it out instead of kicking yourself for not getting it in the first place.

I got an automatic instead of a manual, I also settled with the 05-09 body style and want the 10-12 so bad, I also wanted the interior package. Didn't get any of it.. I settled because I didn't know how to drive a stick at the time (do now), thought I could get everything to upgrade the interior easily after I got the car, and I look for 10-12s all the time even though I'm no where near in a situation to trade in.

Depends if you are willing to wait for a re-design and not meaning just a slight tweak here and there. If you want the new breed that will be coming out in 2015 (think they bumped up the 50th anniversary edition for that year). If you like the current body style now, then pick one up.

I had an itch when the 5.0 came out but I told myself it was not the right time, due to other reasons. Don't let excitement cloud your judgement.

I've been on this kick for a few days.

2010 used GT 500... you can find some around 36-38K, but can you handle 540HP?

Tempting but I went the used route once so i'd like to get exactly what I want this time.

45th Anniversary edition was 2009, so would 50th be 2014 and Pre body change?

Well, are you in the the financial situation to buy immediately? Or are we talking about within the next year?

The 2015 is said to be smaller (to what extent, who knows) and to have IRS. Besides that, it's anyone's guess. Ford execs have stated that they'll use design cues that distinguish it as a Mustang, but to me, that could just mean round headlights and vertical split tails.

If it were up to me, I'd wait for the redesign. If you don't like it, there will be plenty of brand new 2014s that the dealers have to move off the lots. I'm sure you can get close to exactly what you want and then mod from there be it leather interior or new wheels.

I'd either go for the Boss if I couldn't wait any longer or I'd do that ^
