Default my crappy luck

so i went to get my clutch installed at the mechanic and he tells me that my fly wheel was damaged and that was the reason the clutch was destroyed so now i have to buy a new fly wheel with over night shipping (school starts on Monday) went from a 300 dollar job to 1000 -_-

Did you see the flywheel? How many miles on the car?
I call BS on that one.

Why does doing the flywheel add $700 to the job?

I saw the flywheel it was damaged the car has 54k miles and the mechanic is a good friend.
The clutch was 300 400 for the fly wheel and 275 for installation so 975.

So he was charging you 300 parts and labor for the clutch, and 675 for parts/labor for the flywheel? What flywheel are you going with?

i purchased all the parts myself from am he is only charging me 275 for flywheel and clutch install.

i got a RAM Billet Steel Flywheel 6 bolt

reviews said it worked best with the ram hd clutch i purchased

Well sorry to see how it turned out. Guess I was hung up on how a 370 dollar part made your total cost jump from 300 to 1000 bucks.

some1 would probably buy it as for me i wouldn't really want to purchase a used clutch/flywheel good luck though.
