Default Ford Exhaust

I'm going to be getting my new 2013 GT in a week or 2 and was wondering if anyone knew about how much it would cost to get the ford racing exhaust from the dealer and have them install it. I just want the catbacks, I wasn't going to change the pipes. I've heard good things about them and figured they would be a decent exhaust to get.

I don't think Ford Racing makes a cat-back, but you could purchase the mufflers and simply bolt them on yourself. It's rather easy.

Have your dealer get you the gt500 mufflers and install them, they can add it right onto your contract, if you havent paid yet.

I'm a noob so maybe I used the wrong terminology. I basically just want the sound, I don't need the extra performance that comes with changing the pipes and I thought that's what just getting the catbacks was. So if I just want a better rumble what should I do?

No I haven't paid yet, do you know how much the gt500 mufflers cost? And do they sound much better than the ford racing mufflers?

Thanks Menace, the gt500 mufflers seem perfect for what I want. The price is great too, I'm gonna watch some videos of them but I know videos can be deceiving. Does anyone know what they sound like in person?

You're confusing axleback and catback I think. Axle back is just the back mufflers and tips. Not much performance, just sound! Catback is the Headers, Mid pipe, AND Mufflers. That adds lots of performance and sound as well. Usually catbacks are more expensive than axleback. I would say the GT500 axleback is a great choice

Oh ok, thanks for explaining that. I've always been a mustang fan but I'm just about to get my first one so I really don't know much about all this stuff.
