Default Just got new Rotors, how do I install them? Help?

is it really as simple as unbolting 2 Bolts on the caliper actor plate and swapping the rotors?
I know I have to clean the oil off of the new rotors first. Thanks for the help.

I've seen them done two ways but never did them on this model Mustang. Either they just slide off after you take the caliper off or there is a cotter pin you remove that is under a cap on the center of the the spindle.

Should be just slip off rotors. The Foxes had hubbed rotors where you had the cotter pin. Also had to clean and repack or replace the bearings on those. Thank god they changed it to slip ons in '94.

But do I need to take the whole caliper assembly apart or can I get away with just taking the whole caliper off since I am not replacing the pads?

You can just take it all off, don't let it hang.

No, do not just take the whole caliper off (pads intact) unless you have a way to push the caliper piston back into the caliper a bit. New Rotor is thicker than your old one and unless you push the piston back into the caliper a bit, you will not be able to get the assembly back together once you've installed the new rotors.

I just swapped out mine the other day on my 2012 GT Brembo. I was extremely nervous but finally decided to just do it. It was alot easier than I thought. The front Brembos were easier than the rear. They were just simply unbolting the caliper and swapping the rotor out. The rears were a little more involved because you really need a caliper tool because the piston will shift out somewhat. The pads also float so they will fall out. That being said, just take your time and you will understand how easy it is. The rears require undoing 4 bolts.

I used a c clamp to depress the rear brakes and nothing for the fronts.
