Question Painting a battery?

Hey folks,

I'm putting an Optima Yellow Top in my Mustang. Good battery, hate the way the yellow contrasts with Kona Blue. Has anyone painted a battery? Any paint tips with regards to painting one?

Thanks.

Mike

Check this website out. They make billet trays with custom covers for optima batteries. You can show as much or as little of the top of the battery as you want to.painting might not look great. I hear ya on the color. Red or yellow batteries don't look so good with grabber orange.I may just get the Oem battery for my car, as it's held up just fine for me for going on its 6th year.

The Yellow Top is a combination starting/deep cycle battery. If you're not running loads with the engine off, then you can manage with the Red Top which is a dedicated automotive starting battery, IF red is a better color for you. Blue Tops are combination starting/deep cycle marine batteries.
