hid question
Ive had SOO many problems with my hids! I just recently bought new bulbs and ballasts for the fogs and headlights. Now my headlight is out and wont turn on. I already switched out a fog light ballast. I bought them from VVME so thy r suppose to b "water proof". I have 4 ballasts running cuz i have no other choice. Could my lights b going out cuz there is too many ballast going to the battery? PLZ HELP i have problems with my hids atleast once a week and dont know wat else to do!!

I bit the bullet and got a set of 35w Digital 5000k bi-xenons from Retro-Solutions. Todd was extremely helpful and while it was slightly more expensive (ok compared to the VVME set, a lot more expensive), but well worth it since I never had a single problem or issue with them... I left them on the car when I traded it in.
I would highly recommend Retro-solutions to others. Good luck.
BTW, to answer the original question of whether having 4 ballasts on your battery is the problem, I pose this to you... Have you tried to turn on the headlights separate from the foglights? If so, do you still have a problem?
The reason I ask is that the purpose of the ballast is to take the relatively low power from the electrical sytem (12-14 volts) and convert it to a high enough voltage to ignite the gas in the bulb... Once the bulb is lit, it takes less power to continue running the HID than a conventional halogen bulb. Once the headlight balasts have enough power to ignite the bulb, there should be enough available to the fogs to try starting the fogs...
If you continue to have problems firing them off separately, then I stand by my earlier recommendation of ditching the ones you have for a higher quality set...
