Fuel Pollution
Hello all i am new to the forum so sorry for any mistake. Love the car and intend of buying one 2007 or newer, used cause cant afford a new one. Dont know the car very well so i am asking for advice. We have a bad fuel not real octane, mixed with anything, i live in Albania(europe) by the way. My concern is what damage can it bring to the car in short and long terms the bad gasoline?

Stock (unmodified) 2005 or newer Mustangs are able to run lower octance fuel automatically without out fear, as long as you have 87 octance at a minimum... Performance may be reduced, but it will drive. You may need to change your fuel filter more often (like every 15k miles) if the fuel is contaminated with solids, but that is a relatively easy chore (15 minutes and a new filter). The issue of damage is the same for a Mustang as it is for any other gasoline engine if the contamination is water or other additives not intended for normal gasoline engines, like lead.
Good luck,
Don

I have much love for Albania, my boss's whole family moved from there and they're badasses (most likely ex-mafia too haha)
As Don said, as long as you're not planning on putting in a lot of performance upgrades where you'd need higher octane fuel, you should do alright. That sucks about the fuel though. Chi!
