Default Clucking Noise

Well, standing in front of my car this morning after turning it on to warm it up, I noticed this strange sound I only hear in the front of my car.

It goes Shck shck schk-a shck-a shck shck

The car runs great - so I have no idea what it could be. It isn't very loud, but I certainly notice it.

Any ideas?

Could it just be how damn cold it was? It was in the 30's. I'll let you know how it sounds when I start up this afternoon. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

Maybe.....but I'd say start it up later when it's warmer like you mentioned above and see if the noise is still there.

I "assume" you haven't done anything to you car recently that could have caused it?

You sure it's not the noisy fuel injectors?

Check your spark plugs, and your pulleys.

+1 to the noise injectors. I can't be sure what the noise is exactly without hearing it, but it certainly looks like how I would have typed the sound that I had. Mine was looouuddd though sometimes. Took it to a few dealers/mechs and they all had the same answer, normal operation for fuel injectors on these cars.

Could it be metal expansion as the engine, exhaust and everything else begins to heat up?

But if it goes schk-a shck-a shck shck schk-a shck-a shck , then you'd better get it to the dealership PRONTO.

Are the spark plugs fowl?
