Default Tuner question.

Hello, I'm new here and I have looked for this question for a bit.
Anyways I have a 2005 v6 mustang and a super chips flashpaq tuner for a 2005&2006 ford f-150. I was wondering if it was possible to download the tunes for my mustang onto this tuner or use it straight across to tune my mustang somehow with the new cold air intake.

That you for your time

So pretty much I have to buy a completely new tuner for the mustang? Man, that's a killer on the wallet.

Welcome aboard. Plenty of people here to help you with what you need. Of coarse there is always the option of leaving it as is. 'Stangs = $$. Tune it.

Myabe a killer on the wallet, but a good CAI & custom tune is more of a killer on the road. You'll pick up about 20-25 RWHP; 15-20 of that from the tune.

He has a 6. I don't think the 4.0 responds that well to a tune.

My bad. Correction: You'll pick up about 15-20 RWHP; 10-15 of that or more from the tune.

Still not bad for an hour's worth of work considering the results, Another gain is the driveability of the car after the tune. Day and night... even with a 6. The OP never mentiones whether he had a manual or an auto. If it is an automatic it will even be better.

Yes, you'll have to get a new tuner as mentioned. Probably one of the best investments you can make. If you do get mod-crazy down the road, you'll have to have one anyway. You can't do much to these cars (6 or 8) without it requiring a new tune.

+1... improved shift points and more aggressive shifts.
