5% all the way around a light UV/heat tint on the windshield FTW! The darker the better IMO.

I like my 15% tint, all around except front windshield. It's actually not as dark as I thought and it's easy on my eyes at night.

On satin silver, but this is 15%

I typically go 20% but .. I feel as if you are compromising some night vision for doing so.

the stang is the first car I've gone 35% on, and I am OK with it. still looks dark and works well enough, and its at the legal limit ..

35% sucks. I know this because I have it.

I still remember my first thought when picking my car up from the tint shop... "oh, they still haven't done my car yet!" Only thing good about 35% is it doesn't give cops a reason to pull you over.

I'm getting mine re-done in 5 or 15. I don't like people being able to look in my car and see things to steal.. also people who stare at me in traffic. Plus it just looks 100 x's better

Here... I found this random picture on my photobucket that shows 35 in its true light.

Tint laws should be eliminated and replaced with a law requiring you to roll your windows down when an officer is approaching your car. After the officer examines the car, all windows except driver can be rolled up. Same type of offense as the "move over law" for officer safety.

Makes sense to me, especially when SUV's are rolling around with 15-20% on their rear windows from the factory.

2012 Sterling Grey w/ 35% tint & 50% windshield.
It's dark enough for my liking and i think the charcoal interior tends to lend to it looking darker than it actually is

When I was at the tint shop, all they had was 35%, 15% or darker. I never regretted getting the 15%. I see halo's around lights at night and the 15% helps a lot in subduing the light irritation.

I have had cars with Limo dark tint since 1985. They all came that way. Never gotten popped, though I always lower the windows for a traffic stop. Looks very sharp with totally black windows blocking out any view of the interior, so the styling stands on its own. The sun is very bright here in Colorado so the tint makes the interior hold up longer and cools the car in Summer.

That said, I would never pay to have tint that dark on the side windows because it is hard to see out of at night. I'd shoot for 30-35% on the sides and 75%+ on the back window.
