anyone know wtf has been done to the vin number?
lucky i bought from a dealer.

Umm yeah. That just doesn't look right. Not familiar with euro cars but US cars don't have VIN numbers there to begin with.

Someone in the US is probably missing that car

You are lucky they will give you a refund. Next time check out the car more before giving them money and driving it off the lot.

they are all imports here dude...the vin number in the window is perfect...even has the vin numbers on the windscreen that matches...wonder why this has been messed about here?
u rekon i should demand a refund?

I don't have an answer for you.

Other car manufactures put VIN numbers on their parts in case something was stolen. Perhaps the previous owner though about etching it themselves there for some reason.

Only thing I can say that it's at your discretion. If you feel uncomfortable with it, then return it.
