Default Tire time!

I am still running the stock perelli tires on my 2012 brembo pkg, I have about 10K miles and they are getting a little bare ... so its time to shop around a bit. I want to get a pretty wide tire. I originally was looking at a 275 but i know a 285/35 will fit based on the video below. not sure if i need that wide or not haha. I would really like these http://www.americanmuscle.com/mickey...285-35-19.html I didnt see an option for a 275/xx/19. not sure about the differences between manufacturers. any tips or experience on the best tire.

10k miles and they're a little bare??? Even 20k on the OE tires is pretty bad. Are you doing a lot of drifting?

haha they aren't really that bad. I exaggerated a bit. Just with the few mods and the tune the stock tires don't really grip as much as I want.

It depends on your budget. Since you live in Florida your obviously going with a summer tire I like the continental extreme DW good bang for the buck. Get Michelin Pilot Super Sports if you don't care about the cash.

+1 on a summer tire to begin with, especially if you're in the lower half of the state. I came here (eventually) from the north with AS's and can't wait to replace them. There are a lot of Nitto fans on the forum.

Michelin PSS for the win. Summer tire with ultra high performance AND... AND... yet sill a cold and wet tire. Best of both worlds. 30k mile warranty to top it off and... damn. Im in.

Cjm1261,

You can throw a 285 on all 4 corners if you'd like. As far as brands go this is a very opinionated question. Like these guys said obviously you're going to go after a summer tire with the lack of winter weather in Florida!

Nitto, Pilot Super Sports and the Mickey Thompson Street Comp's are all really nice tires. Since you're interested the the Mickey's I'll give you a little information on them! The Mickey Thompson Street Comp tire is built especially for ultra high performance applications that demand incredible traction, crisp handling, and high speed cornering ability. You get all these features along with the outstanding styling you would expect from Mickey Thompson.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions!

Sorry for the double post. The import was acting up there for a second!
