The 5.0s are still kinda new, so I don't know if anyone has really gotten up there with the miles yet. The 4.6s are known to go well over 200,000 miles at this point, but I would still never buy a used car with more than about 75,000 miles on it max, but that's just my personal preference.

Buy the lowest miles your pocket can afford in the car you desire.

My car is pushing 117k pretty much trouble free miles, needs no repairs, and shows hardly any wear. I have all service records and receipts for maintenance, etc. I would buy my used car in a heartbeat. I guess it just depends on the car. If you can find a used one in great shape that someone has taken pride in owning then the risk is usually a lot lower than running up to Joe Blow's used car junkyard and picking up a lower mileage car with no history. People that turn up their noses at cars with more than 100k miles trip me out.

I think if it's well taken care of the miles aren't as important, you can usually tell pretty quick if it's been abused. I bought mine with 44,000 km's and it's a 2008 and it still looks brand new.

Just bought my 2009 GT with 78k miles on it. It was a one owner, accident free car that still had the original tires and brakes. A salesman owned it and did a lot of freeway driving. Other than a couple of very minor rock chips in the front, its perfect. Car is bone stock other than the addition of a trunk release switch so he could get his catalogs out of the trunk easier when on the road. Don't buy based on mileage alone. Look at the history and overall condition. One thing that bothered me on many of them that I looked at was different tires on the rear than the front. That often was a pretty good indicator for me on how it was driven. Personally, I'd much rather have a high mileage car that I know has been well maintained vs. a low mileage car that I suspect has been beat. Take your time looking...there are plently of these cars out there.
