Default Rear end clunking?

Hey fellas, I need some help on my car. Ever since i bought my car the rear end would clunk or bottom out or thump lol, over bumps, idunno what to call it but it's a holly or bottom out sound in the rear end when I go over bumps and very very noticeable. The only reason why now instead of before im questioning this is because a couple friends of mine came up from New York last night. We drove around to grab and bite to to eat and all of my friends was like dude WTH is up with the rear end is that normal?" To say the least it doesn't sound normal now lol they told me I should bring the car in which I am, I'm just wondering if anyone experience this and has gone threw the dealer. I searched up and forms but no evidence of what it is or anything particular to what I'm experiencing.. Anyone?

Well, if it's over bumps and such then it sounds like you might have a shock out. If the car has an aftermarket upper control arm then that's a possibility.

Try looking under the Trunk Mat to see if anything is loose under it.

Try putting a pad under the wooden trunk cover...

I would suspect the sway bar endlinks. If you have access to a lift, put it up in the air and start knocking on parts to find loose bolts/etc. That's how I found out my sway bar end links needed tightened, lol

Also, how fast do you go over said bumps (assuming large pot holes and speed bumps)?

Mine had a clunking coming from the rear when new and it was the exhaust. I took it back to the dealer the week I bought it, they made a few adjustments, probably took less than 30 minutes, haven't heard the noise again

Based on mods listed in sig, I'm going to say that's a negative unless he hasn't updated his sig in a while.

Hey guys sorry for the late reply. No I have zero mods. The bumps happen anywhere over regular roads or anything, it's sounds horrible.
