Anybody ever installed a WheelSkins steering wheel cover on an S197 wheel?

They go on tight and look & feel fine. It did take me over an hour to get it on though. Art was never my strong suit.

It took me over an hour as well. It my first time putting one on, but happy with the results.

It's been on over a year and looks as good as the day I got it.

Thanks guys. Sounds like WheelSkins is a viable option. I am wrestling with the idea of going to a Boss 302 wheel. These are actually for a 2012 or 2013 Mustang. I read they can be retrofitted to the older S197s like my 2006, but it would take a good bit of rewiring and I don't know if I want to tackle it. If I decide not, I'll go with a black WheelSkin. Thanks again for the feedback. Just what I was looking for.

Just get the wheel man! Wiring isn't really that bad, a soldering gun is pretty easy to use!

I fould the wheel @ $241. I'm not a bit afraid of a little soldering, but I am not sure what to solder. Swapping the wheel is no big deal, I've done it a couple of times. I just need to know the exact procedure of combining the new wheel's wiring to the wiring in my car.

From what I've found, there are a few writeups that tell you what wires to connect to make the cruise control buttons work.

If you want the radio buttons to work, you need to get 2 WPT400 (or something) connectors. One goes on the clockspring in the wheel, the other to the back of the radio.

Again, 20min of swap and 5 min of soldering and you can have the new wheel, and cruise control working.
