Spring Problem..
Springs touching is not a problem; Steeda Ultralites do the same thing. What about the top nut on the strut mount? Have you verified it hasn't backed off some? Those will make some noise quickly. You can use a sharpie on the nut/threads once they're torqued so a quick glance will tell you if they've loosened.
I have H&R springs that touch, it's fine. My car is dead silent on the front. I did, however, replace the strut mounts with camber plates and neglected to torque down the strut nut properly and the minute I took it out I had a massive clunk. I retorqued it properly and the noise went away. It sounds like if your strut mounts themselves aren't the issue, then I suggest retorquing the strut nut. Worked for me.
I know the exact clunking you're talking about.
I had it on my Eibach Sportlines w/Tokico D-Specs.
I have it now with my BC Racing coilovers as well.
It has nothing to do with the spring, my guess would say it's that sway bar end link, that or the strut cap nuts.
The BC racing coils have CC plates built in, and the Tokico's only clunked on one side w/OEM strut mounts. So I would say it's NOT the strut mounts.
Retorque everything, especially those end links.

Ok so my car kept making loud noises near the wheel so after i closer inspection i noticed that my lowering springs (SR Performance) were touching near the bottom. Here is a picture of how its touching. I dont believe this is normal so i need to know whats going on!!

Here is a closer pic showing that its touching which is making a noise over bumps. You can't even fit a credit card between them. Any solution?

Look at the top picture compared to the bottom picture.
The springs at the top do not have the stock rubber spring boot installed on the bottom spring coils where the springs are touching. This piece should have been removed from the stock springs and reinstalled on the new ones.....I'm not promising that's the reason for the noise you're getting, because I'm not there to see/hear it first hand, just pointing out something obvious that it could be.
Good Luck!
The clunking noise is a common problem. In my own experience I found the noise to be conning from the end links and sway bar. To make sure it's not coming from here remove the tires, remove end links, zip tie or duct tape the front sway in a secure position. Mount the tires and drive around the block. If you still hear the noise then it's not the end links. If so or not put everything back and torque to spec with blue locktite.
If you still have the clunk then remove the springs and add rubber piece from your old stock springs. If your going this far though you might as well as replace the strut mounts. Make sure you torque everything to spec and use locktite.

is the spring clocked in the right position? you should see the end on the coil in it's perch if it is not positioned correctly it could cause the noise you are speaking of. look at factory spring on another mustang and you will see how the end of the spring sits, from your picture i don't see it. need a closer inspection or different camera angle.

Like I've said, I've had the clunking on two suspension setups now. BC Racing Coilovers, AND Tokico w/Sportlines.
It's NOT the rubber boot, and it's not the springs touching.
