Default Compass Problem Mustang Premium

I own a 2011 Mustang premium and started having issues with the compass on the dash showing two dashes -- instead of the actual direction. Tried resetting it a few times by holding the 7 and 9 buttons on the radio with no change on the display.

Is there anything else I can check on the car myself or do I need to take it to a ford dealer?

Try disconnecting the battery maybe? That might let everything reset, dunno though.

Try the compass calibration procedure outlined in the OWNERS MANUAL.
Or go see the dealer that sold you the 2011 that is '?still under warranty?'

Based on the procedure as stated in the linked pdf it sounds like he did that and the closest dealer may be an hour away.

If you can't offer advice why say anything?

Already tried the calibration procedure when I started, nothing happens on the display when I follow the manual. Taking it in on Friday to the dealer.

That is your best bet, Falconone. Your Service Manager is in the best position to look into this for you. Let me know the outcome.

Check the connection on your mirror, it contains the compass module. Maybe try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
