Can anyone tell me where to find info on removing the clips and inter panels of the trunk and what tools are needed to do so ? Does ford put out a manual for it if so where do i find one . have a 2013 gt and wanting to remove inter panels to sound deaden complete trunk area.

 

I think they just pull off by hand.

 

With your fingers. Just grab and pull...

 

These trunks are so shoddy you could probably remove everything with a vacuum cleaner.

 

Second part of this question, where can one find replacement clips? Not that I've broken most of them...just curious...

Ford has xtraa plastic clips. You can also find some at your local auto parts store.

 

Best post of the day for sure, got to remove mine to install a nice 5.0 mat in a few weeks. Guess I will just got get some clips now.

 

Note that there is an auto trim removal tool you can pickup at harbor freight for a few bucks that does wonders getting these trim plugs removed in one piece.

Yes, this is the best way to remove them. I have a similar tool and haven't broken any
since (several years).

Just be careful not to simply pry the ones that have a philips head on them. Those require gentle upward pressure with the tool as you back the philips head out. If you simply pry them, they will break, if you spin the philips without applying upward pressure, the plastic screw will just spin.
