Default jerky throttle / acceleration

I have noticed that when I start off, the car jerks slightly. It is normally in first gear, after the clutch is completely engaged, and under 1500 RPM. It feels like I am bumping the throttle, but I am not. I am holding the throttle at a constant spot (easy acceleration) and it jerks maybe once or twice and doesnt do it again. It does not happen under heavy acceleration. It does not happen every time, but the engine temp seems to have no effect. Does anyone have any ideas ?

UNDER 1500 RPM? You're lugging the motor.

How many miles on the clutch? Is it original?

It is when I start off from a stop.

It is the original, but this happens after the clutch is engaged.

The engine is most sensitive to hesitate under light acceleration and low RPM. It's possible the clutch is worn out and not engaging smoothly, causing the car to jerk. Any kind of slack in the drivetrain will be very noticeable in those kind of driving conditions.

Turn key to on but do not start.

count to 6. (1-1000 - 2-1000 etc)

As you do so, smoothly press gas pedal to the stop. Then Count to 6 again and smoothly release pedal to rear stop. The pedal should reach each end of its range of motion as you count 6 or shortly after that.

Turn key off, take it out. You've recalibrated your throttle.

Might help, I know it did with mine.

I’m having the same problem with my automatic transmission. So would this step help for it as well?

throttle recal works on the autos too. Is your problem under certain temps or not?
