Default Check Engine Light but No Trouble Codes

Thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone else has experienced this.

All was fine until I crossed over the 100k mark. I decided to fall victim to the "shear the spark plug off in the cylinder" issue before learning about it. After making it through that ordeal I began receiving the P0353 code. Took about a week to isolate the issue was a bad "brand new" autolite in number 3. During this period of troubleshooting I received a handful of "P0351, P0353, P0356 and P0357 codes" I feel that those codes were due to my testing different locations trying to isolate #3, but before finding the root cause I replaced #3 Coil Connector.
Then I replaced the fuel filter and began experiencing really bad idle issues and the P0356 came back a couple of times. (Cleaned TB per another thread), that cleared up my idle issue and have not received a trouble code since. BUT, at random times the check engine lite will come on and as soon as I get out of traffic, park, connect my Diablo Predator (CAI Tune) it says "No Trouble Codes". This has occurred about 10 times in roughly 1300 miles of mostly freeway driving. Sometimes it happens at slow idle and other times on the freeway passing yet another wannabe hotrod Prius or minivan thug.

I should mention that I replaced my front lower control arms after I did the fuel filter but I don't recall getting near any of the O2 sensors or other wiring.

Any thoughts or ideas are welcome.

So does the CEL blink or stay steady when it lights? Blink is a misfire, steady should store a code.

Does teh Diablo have data logging available?

Actually, I just noticed you have an 07, Have your charging system checked out, specifically the Alternator. 05 to early 07 are known to have big problems with the alternators wreaking havoc on the electrical system and false codes it can create.

I can be of no more help than Derf00. I can 2nd the alternator concern, however, since they tend to degrade, rather than crap the bed catastrophically, and then cause electrical gremlins.

Idk about the code but my engine light went off lately (I'm only at 40k miles 06gt) and I unplugged my battery and the light went off and hasn't came back its been almost a month. However I do have idle issues as well. Like a year ago my battery died and I replaced it and the idle was all jumpy, but I just unplugged then replugged my battery and the idle was fine. This time with the engine light my idle wont go back to normal. What exactly did you do to get your idle back to normal?

Tbooya - it's best to start your own thread with the problem you have and not hijack an existing one. You'll get more help that way.

Thank you for the alternator tip, I will get that checked. If I end up having it replaced should I go with any specific manufacturer?
The CEL is steady, no blinking. (I wasn't aware that blinking would indicate a misfire). I believe my Diablo does have data logging. It has been a while since I last tried gathering that information and I now wish I had taken random snapshots so I could compare.
Thanks for the help. Sorry for the delay in responding, just got back from my RV trip. Can't wait to get behind the wheel of my GT again....
