Default Quick question about 2013 gt

So i test drove a 2013 gt the other day. as i was rolling through the gears i was having a lot of trouble going into 3rd and 5th. It wouldn't go into gear, i felt as if i had to muscle it into 3rd. Does anyone who owns a 2013 gt or has driven one noticed this, or is it just me?

I test drove a couple....No issues. Try being easier on the shifter. These seem to like a gentle hand but they will still shift fast. Several have commented on it being a bit harder to find the gates if one is trying to force it. A local friend had issues going from an 07 GT manual to the '12 manual until he lightened up on the pressure.

There have been some issues with a few trannies in the newer cars so maybe try another car too.

Thanks for the advice. I will try being more gentle, and will try out a different car.

My 2013 is my fourth Mustang and when I test drove it for some reason I had a hard time finding gears. I can't even explain why. Take it easy and let it do it's thing, you'll get used to it.

The stock shifter is just crap a nice aftermarket like Hurst fixes that issue. It is true though if you try to force the shift and try to aggressively throw it into gear it will say no every time. The new Mustangs like it slow.

^ What he said. My '12 GT Manual has the same tranny. It hates (1) cold mornings and (2) being forced into gear. Once you get used to it, it is buttery smooth.
