yo,
guys are the 3 valve engines and gearboxes reliable?
i'm so paranoid about mine i loose sleep over it..mines gone about 18k miles..
it's 8 years old now..i dont think it's had a new fuel filter or brake fluid change.
should i do these things?
do these motors leak oil?

Sounds like you're a worry wart. You will get a ton of mileage out of that car.

I would be more worried about changing the plugs. Do that now while they are still "fresh" to avoid the dreaded breaking problem they have. If you are unaware of this problem and how to avoid any issues, a search on this site or google will give you all the how-to help you want.

Flush the brake system every two years. Change the fuel and air filters every 30k miles unless the fuel is not clean or the air filter is dirty; then change them more often. Don't forget the cabin air filter; a change every 15k miles is recommended.
