Default HP boost from shorty headers

I was recently fortunate enough to have Flowmaster Scavenger Elite series shorty headers installed on my 2006 GT 4.6L and am trying to get an idea of the HP boost. I have a Bama performance tune and and will dyno in the near future to get an exact read but can anyone provide a fairly accurate guess? 10-15hp would be my number.

do you have a baseline on the car stock dyno , dyno with bama tune, and dyno with bama tune/headers?

Without all three you'll never get an accurate picture of how much power shorties added. Most of the initial gain on an otherwise stock car is the tune.

As for the shorties, maybe 5-7 flywheel Hp if that. They're not significant.

Minimal if anything, the stock manifolds are pretty efficient.

Really more for the look. I wouldn't expect much gain at all.

Thanks for the input fellas. I've settled on 5-8 hp gain which is reasonable and logical based on recent readings and comparisons The shorties make a deep rumble that sets the heart to racing and you can FEEL them in the cockpit. Gives me shivers just thinking about it! I know you all get it though so I won't go on
I may post pix when I have time but they are beautiful. Will get all the dyno readings with the diff. tunes over the next month or so, thanks for the suggestions.

You're definitely going to notice some sound difference. Shorty headers won't add a ton of power, as they're a very similar design to your stock set up. You can definitely count on around 10 HP, I look forward to seeing your Dyno graph!

Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
