Default LT headers with catted x pass smog?

Like the title says I will be moving to California and was wondering if the BBK long tube headers with catted x will pass smog testing. Other mods I have is just a JLT intake and Brenspeed tune.

You could, you know, search, but I understand that's difficult and not as easy.

In CA, you can't have any fun, and NO LT header will pass smog.

Short answer is No. Stock cats in stock location and no long tube headers is how you are going to have to run in CA. The only headers i know for sure that are SMOG compliant are the JBA shorty headers. Those don't give you enough of a performance boost to warrant the work to install them. The exhausts in the S197's are actually pretty good bone stock. The only thing I addressed in my 05 GT is the axle back. I went with some mac boom tubes. The rest is pretty free flowing. Even the stock cats are decent.

Also surf808 i noticed you have a JLT cai and tune. Those will have to be removed and reinstalled after you smog the vehicle. My suggestion if you don't want to deal with the hassle of doing that every couple of years is to find a CAI that is CARB EO approved. K&N, Airaid and a few others have the carb eo numbers. Or you could just do as I will do, keep a stock tune handy as well as the OE airbox and piping and reinstall before you smog the vehicle.

I've seen this discussed before, and as the others have mentioned, no, it will not pass. Sorry, California is very strict.

I think it'd be cheaper to just not move to California.

Yeah if you want to play dont move here. No LT's, must have cats, must have EGR and all that smog stuff. Even some cams wont pass. Welcome to the **** state of California.

But I will say there are a few area codes that dont require smog check but most of them are up north.
