303 High tech fabric Guard Safe for Vert Tops?

I was wondering if anyone has experience with the 303 High Tech Fabric Guard on their vert's vinyl top? The instructions say not to use on vinyl, but I'm going to play the dumb guy and ask the question as to whether it is safe to use.

That is for actual fabric tops. I use 303 for vinyl and it works great. As to will it work on fabric? Probably, but not as well as the stuff for vinyl.
