Default slow acceleration

I dont know if this is normal and il try to describe the best i can. I have a 13' gt auto and during left or right turn in a intersection i normally step on the gas half way and soon as i turn into the lane, ill step on alittle more(about 1/4 more). Car speed is picking up but not as fast as it would when im driving straight and go 3/4 throttle.

Also why do my car feel unstable on wet road?

Traction control.

To keep the rear end behind the front end when someone stomps it to 3/4 throttle in the middle of a turn.

On a wet road it is pretty much the same, it is going to cut power when you lose traction, once again, to keep the rear end from catching up to the front end.

TC = training wheels for beginners

It'll keep you from looking stupid and getting hurt while you learn how to handle a car with power.

maybe, i normally have it on sport mode advantrac, ill try all off tomorrow but i dont feel the traction control is intervening. As for the wet road question im not asking if tc is cutting off hp, im asking i get this unstable gliding feeling while driving even with low speed.

Sounds like you are not pushing the pedal enough to get a downshift from that automatic.

Unstable...might check your tire pressure. I know several owners who found the pressure 5-10 psi over the recommened from the dealer.

... or the pressure is too low. I've felt more instability from low pressure than from high pressure.

Traction control will only intervene if the wheels are spinning. Normal rapid acceleration should not activate the TC....and you will see an indication on the dash when it steps in to spoil the fun.

Another thing about these cars, drive it like a grandma for a while and it will respond like grandma wants it to....slow and sluggish. Drive it like you stole it and it responds the same.
