Default Air / Fuel mixture got leaner......

I cleaned my Edelbrock filter with the K&N cleaner and conditioner and my air fuel mixture went from 14.8/1 to 15.4/1....

There was a fair amount of dirt that came out but surprised the mixture changed that much. According to the A/F gauge, its in the max lean side (green bars) of the mixture. Any further and it would be in the orange (not red). Guess it was dirtier then I thought.

Ummm, it shouldn't matter how clean or dirty the air filter. My understand is the ecm commands a certain air fuel ratio, so if you removed the filter, it would just add more fuel. Maybe you created a leak after the MAF. Mine is always 14.3 at steady cruise or idle.

Found the problem, the air filter is toast, it's separating from the mounting surface.

Anyone know where I can get a new one? This is suppose to be a Edelbrock CAI but, I never saw a filter like this.

If you look close near one of the studs, you can see where its coming apart. I can put my finger through it.

Heck, a little duct tape and it'll be good as new....

Have you googled it? I've never seen a CAI with studs before.

Found this: https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...ercharger.html

On edelbrocks website there is a pgae that has part numbersw for the replacement filters.

Of course, It kinda looks like someone hacked together an open element kit for the eforce, since the edelbrock kits show a clamp on air filter.

Yeah, if you look at the links I posted, you will see that those look just like mine. And my filter was blue, I used the edelbrock clean and restore kit which turned it red.

I'll have to call edelbrock and talk to them because if you do a search on the system number I have EDL-15808, they all look like mine and not the clamp type. But, I can't find the filter anyplace. Unless everyone is using a generic picture of a filter.
