Default Problem with SYNC text messages say its from ME!

I'm using a droid raz through SYNC in a 2013 Ford Mustang and SYNC shows my name and phone number as the sender for every text message, which makes replying impossible and I have no idea who sent it. It was working fine up to about a month ago. Anybody having same issues? not sure if the problem is on the phone or sync side!

Quit texting and driving! LOL!

sorry, couldn't resist...
have you tried unpairing the device then re-syncing it?
tried syncing a friends phone as a test?

Might also need an update or a reset

Yet another

thread. Try a soft reset on your phone or try erasing your phone from the car and re-pairing it.

Hi Yugi,

Like the other two mentioned, your phone should be soft reset, and deleted from SYNC. A soft reset is done by holding the POWER button and VOLUME DOWN key on your phone for about 10 seconds. The phone should power up immediately after. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and delete the SYNC connection. You'll also need to delete the phone from your SYNC system by selecting the following options: PHONE > SYSTEM SETTINGS > BT DEVICE > DELETE DEVICE.

Follow these instructions to pair the phone once you've completed the previous steps: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...our-phone-sync

If it continues to show your information instead of the senders, verify that your firmware version supports text messaging: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...atibility-sync Make sure you check the box that says SMS TEXT MESSAGING (on the left). If you recently updated your phone, this could change the way it interacts with the SYNC system.
