I have had my 07 since its conception and no warranty work was needed. Plus I modded right away

Totally agree here for these rare cases. The dealerships must have some sort of "invoice price" or "reserve" lowest value for these ESPs. You just have to hammer the finance guy extremely hard to find that minimum value.

A good tip to help you find that "invoice price" of that ESP is to hold over their heads the fact that Chevrolet offers 100,000 mile factory warranty vs Ford's 60,000 mile warranty.
This might sound like a despicable and blasphemous move for many of us Mustang fans, but if you want to get the best deal possible on an ESP you might want, you just might have to play dirty with that finance guy.

It will never hurt to ask or "hammer down" on that finance guy. The worst that can happen is he would give up on the ESP pitch and not bother you with it anymore.

This did not change my payments at all after purchasing the ESP with the lower rate. It is nice to know that I have peace of mind should anything go wrong with the car... like burning oil. Yeah, that post will be up later today in the 5.0 V8 technical discussions.

Good luck with your decision!
That bank wasn't one the dealership got ya was it?I almost walked out of the dealership where i bought my car because they played that game with me.
Well if you don't want the esp, then your interest on loan will raise to 3.9.I said fine,no thanks, keep your car,got up to leave, needless to say i got the 2.9 and no esp. One of the many really shady games they play.

Yeah, you called it. It wasn't the worst game they played. I had already done my bargaining up front with the salesman. At that point I was getting the car I wanted for less than I had expected. I was happy, and I'm sure they made some money too. lol.
