Exclamation 2007 Check Engine Light Code P0455

This is the second time the light has come on recently.

First time, I replaced the gas cap. This time, I don't know what to do. Being a female, I feel like I get taken advantage at car places--I really don't know anything about cars.

The car isn't running funny or anything but I'm worried about the light and I drive far for work every day.

Any help would be welcome.

P0455 signifies a leak somewhere in the Evaporative Emissions System, quite often a gas cap, but the leak could be anywhere in the system. Auto shops use smoke to detect the leak if it's not obvious or easy to spot. Basically it could be in your fuel tank, filler neck, canister, gas cap, or hoses in the vapor management system.

Any chance the car was rear ended?

A smoke test would be best to try and find leak, shouldn't be too hard for a good mech. being most of Evap system is located outside under the spare tire well.
