Default RIP My Mustang Nooooooo!

F***

Worst day of my life.

Lost my Mustang Monday morning. She would have been Nine years old in November. Just had to survive 3 more weeks untill storage.

I lost the rear end in the rain on a corner. I'm thinking I hit some leaves. Wasn't even going that fast, and probably would have been minimal damage, had there not been a tree.

Had to crawl out the passenger door as the drivers side was pinned shut by the tree. Airbags did not deploy. Breaks my heart. I had that thing since new when I turned 16. Planned to keep her forever and pass it on to my kids.

I walked away with literately a scratch on my knuckle. Im just glad I didn't have my arm out the window having a smoke. Everyone keeps telling me "cars can be replaced, but you cannot". I know that's supposed to make me feel better, but its not.

Sonic blue was the sickest colour too.

Insurance wrote it off and is cutting me a check for $9700. They also hooked me up with a 2014 5.0 vert for the time being. Its sweet and all, but I'd still trade it back for my baby in a heartbeat.

Driving the '14 though; It feels like I lost a loving wife/girl friend, but just had a threeway with some rocket supermodels. A friggin blast, but I still miss my 05.

At least I wont have to pay for storage this winter. I'll be back in another stang come spring. Either a New Edge Mach 1, or an 05-09 GT.

September 30, 2013 8:15am. I lost the only thing I ever loved.

That sucks, but it is just a car. Maybe you either need to give it more time to realize that, or you unfortunately have to lose something that isn't replaceable like a car to realize that.

That sucks man. At least you are ok, and time heals all wounds. I'm sure you won't forget the car, but a new car is a new opportunity to build what you want.

Now does that make your insurance go up, since its a claim on your record? Even though it was the rain that caused the wreck?

I spent sooo many hours modding and cleaning my '07 GT...I would sit on the porch and stare at it constantly. I enjoyed it as much as a person could. But when I found my '11 GT I traded her in and left her sittin in the parking lot. It stung a little and I see her sometimes with another man around town.

man that is definitely rough, ive had my 06 new since 16 so i know the attachment. Sonic blue was a great color as well, hope the replacement can help cope with the loss a bit.

Extremely sorry for your loss.. this made me giggle though...

Know the feeling.. I still have my first Mustang... I'd cry too if she were gone... It is just a car... flesh is worth something, steel isn't... but I get the attachment...

Again.. sorry for your loss..

Sorry to hear bud, I would feel the same way similar situations too. I've had mine since 16 years old, 22 now.
