If you haven't seen it yet, check out the new Passport MAX radar/Laser detector.

Another nail in Valentine 1s coffin. Fantastic. I almost can't wait until my 9500ix dies. I want one.

I've always been a "Belscort" user but have always envied the V1. Since I haven't been the road warrior I used to be, putting down about 3000 miles/month, I haven't been paying attention to the RD market or forums. I'll have to check the MAXX out.

It's getting to a point where the tickets are cheaper...

I'm pretty limited in my knowledge of radar detectors. I had looked at them a few years back, and at that time it seemed that none of them were a match for laser. Once the detector saw the laser, the squad car had already determined my speed. Has that changed with the new MAX?

I'll stick with my V1. It saved my butt a few times.
