Default Factory Touchscreen Nav Functionality

My wife wants me to keep the car all factory looking. Hopefully one of you that has one of these can enlighten me... How good is the equalizer on the factory touchscreen nav? Can you set your high and low pass filters? Is there a bass boosting function? Can you set the power going to each frequency? Does it have balancing features and custom sound tuning? I know I can get these from an aftermarket unit, but it wouldn't look stock. I'm looking for one that would go with an 05-09.
I did search the threads for this question before posting, everyone seems to be talking about the installation, and not the quality.
Side question: I have an AVIC in the truck now, it looks pretty good, but is there another touchscreen that looks more factory than that?

I just installed a navigation head from a 09 Sable/Taurus, that according to Ford. it doesn't work in our Mustangs. It works excellent and is loaded to the gills with goodies. This radio has Siruis Satellite on, has Sync capabilities (I added the Sync kit we were all buying off eBay) turned on, has 6 position steering wheel controls turned on, FES is fully functional (DVD for navigation but does play DVDs but I haven't driven over 5 mph to see if it goes back to regular screen). Voice recognition is turned on, stereo is fully (set for 6 to 8 speakers) enabled and sub woofer enabled. This thing has it all but a back up camera.

I just wired in the connectors for the steering wheel controls the other day, but am waiting for one more connector to finish soldering the harness. There is no connection for backup lock out, so I believe that the reason they say this isn't for our Mustangs. We can see a movie while moving. I believe it is for a bigger interior area so the sound maybe louder. It has a DVD optional setting for rear seating in the Sables headrest, so that maybe why FES is listed as fully enabled. It all works, but one connector I have has issues. I ordered two WPT-440's and only one came. I had a used old one laying around and it was a little too damaged to reuse and be happy with. The car isn't being driven right now, so I'm not in a hurry. I still have to figure how to close the cover with the extra wires, and have all work without issues. Right now, without the shroud it works excellent. The Nav works and boots within 10 seconds. The only DTC is the no speed sensor signal. Code P2403. My v6 didn't come with ABS and traction loc, so that means no sensor signal for this. That is not a big thing, as the unit has it's own way of doing speed and all, so it is fine.

If anyone decides to do this, find a head from a F150, 2009 up, fully loaded (back up camera enabled plus Sirius, Premium sound, etc or big Lincoln (silver trimed face), Taurus, etc. These are the more filled units. Look at the wiring and the options that were on the vehicle to determine the head you want I wanted basically what I listed, so I came up with the 09 Taurus/Sable. It's part number is 8G1T-18K931-EA. Nothing before these will be an Audiophile, so you are better of to find an 8...-18k931-.. coded radio. It must be 8, 9, A, or B on the first digit or letter. Number 7 or smaller isn't going to work well, and won't have the goodies we all want.

thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye out for one. In the mean time, I'm really looking hard at this: I think it has everything I want and the look as well. I'm just waiting on purchasing a the subs for the shaker 1000 until black friday.

Be careful. Some of these units won't work on all the functions. The Shaker 1000's are the ones that don't seem to work correctly. It has something to do with the extra amps or something. If you read the forums, I did a bunch, you'll see where a number of guys couldn't get the 1000's to work on bass, and didn't like the output amounts. I would think, it would be best to contact this seller and ask how this head works with the 1000 system. It would be better to be safe than out a bunch of cash. You could always remove the 1000 out of the trunk, if you had to. Good luck.
